As the weather changes so must our beauty products and wardrobes. Summer means clothes that show more skin (in a classy way), and skin products that make skin glow and protect it from sun damage.
While for some, letting go of our go to winter and spring clothes and accessories takes an almost mourning period, but some winter/spring fashion shouldn't see the light of a summer day.
It's time to let go of the Uggs, even the tan colored ones, it's too hot for that! Let them collect dust till fall.
And the leggings, it's time to say goodbye, even under skirts, too tacky. Instead let those legs feel some warm summer air.
Skyline students have strong opinions on what people shouldn't wear this summer.
"I don't like when shorts and skirts are so short you can see the pockets coming out under them," student Dee-Dee Welch said. "V-neck tees are bad too, no one wants a V-neck tan come fall."
Skinny jeans and flats are still acceptable on a cooler day, we all know how Bay Area summers can have cooler days. Check out the new stone washed skinny jeans that are tattered and distressed, Forever 21 has some cute ones for cheap.
Gladiator sandals are back again this season. This time they are embellished with studs and gold pendants. They give edge to any short or skirt. Some cute ones can be found at Aldo, Brass Plum, and Forever 21.
Many Skyline students aren't fans of sandals and instead like bright sneakers.
"I don't like sandals, I love Jordan high-top sneakers in bright colors for summer," Denise Juarez said.
Go a step beyond jean shorts and mini skirts, try a tailored short. They translate well from day to night with the right top and flats. Brass Plum and Forever 21 have cute ones in black and neutral colors.
Classic summer print dresses are back again. Either short or long make sure it's form fitting and colorful. Therapy, off Burlingame Ave, has some really cute affordable summer dresses.
Rompers have also come out in some cute new styles that are much easier on all body types. JCPenny has some cute styles by I 'Heart' Ronson.
